Christenings

As a church we have an infant baptism (sometimes called 'Christening') and we usually hold the service on a Sunday morning as part of our main service of the day. The service itself requires the parents to make quite demanding promises on providing a Christian home, being a Christian example and to ensure that the child has the opportunity to grow up being taught the Christian way of life. The understanding is that the parents undertake the promises on behalf of the child celebrating God's grace and mercy being extended towards us, whilst recognising that hopefully one day the child will decide for him/herself to follow Jesus.

Thanksgiving

Some parents are simply thankful for the gift of a child and want to express that in church without making promises which they feel would be hard for them to embrace. The important thing is to make contact so we can explain more fully our outlook. We can assure you of a warm welcome. Please feel free to get in touch.
